My favorite speed card game. I have the classic red and yellow tin box. I bring it around with me in my bag sometimes. My friends hate playing with me because I'll win. My other friend loves Bananagrams and always wants to be indulged in a game or two. I think it's cool how so many people have mastered some kind of mostly-useless quirk.

lately a fav party game of my friends - take turns drawing cards with a category + symbol and if your symbol matches someone else you have to name something in their category before they name something in yours! the categories are mostly broad (like superheroes or hairstyles) so it's not so much about knowing trivia as it is about being fast which is nice
my fav party board games are usually word games but if people aren't into things like codenames/scrabble this one is adjacent but separate enough and easy as hell to learn

EXTREMELY GOATED CARD GAME
basically speed solitaire. if you know how to play solitaire you can pick it up really quickly. the directions i linked say 4+ people but 2 or 3 works totally fine
every time my dad’s side of the family gets together we play pounce and every time my aunt smokes us
