I went to a friend’s birthday party last night who I hadn’t seen in almost 2 years and I was nervous about it until I noticed the amount of septum piercings in the room. Huge difference. This may be a regular thing in nyc or something but I’m in north Florida baby and it was beautiful. I’m about to go to dykes only potluck party tonight too… so I’ll let u know abt that later. Ta-Ta!

yuriko invited me to her going away party because I asked to try her ginger beer when she rec’d it a while back. the ginger beer apparently exploded before it could be served but I met some cool people, ate some nice cake, lost at chess, and had a good time. if socializing is your thing I recommend the experience, kinda fun to be the mysterious stranger at the function.

A rare experience in the city. House parties have a charm and intimacy that just can’t be matched by a bar. Everyone’s forced to physically brush up against each other and talk to people they might not otherwise. A good house party is sexy in this way. Anyone who attended my last halloween party knows this well.

Every month Fern (@phaant4), Sophie (@irlhannahmontana), and I host a party at Old Flings (25 Avenue A) and I'm gonna be honest and somewhat unbiased, it's always a fun time and a cool spot to get your picture taken (by me :) and others). This month we're doing "Le Sleepy Girl" our little pajama party on September 26th and it's gonna be amazing. We have some very fierce DJs and just in general our event always attracts a crowd that isn't all people interested in the clout of an event which I personally like cause when an event is mostly people interested in the prospect of getting their photo taken an event loses it's sense of fun cause everyone has this focus of always looking good for the camera (that's why I'm the one taking the photos lmao) So if you're in New York you should come!

Slow communication is what I think I was born for. The fact that people used to still be considered good friends but not know everything going on with each other until they maybe ran into them on the street is so beautiful to me. I think it really allowed for our internal worlds to develop and flourish while making those moments you share with others so much more meaningful. Anyhow I’m doing this with my friend who is moving to Kansas and it makes me so happy, I’m buying cute stationary for us. Maybe even a wax stamp maker.

Not enough third spaces for queer people offline and it’s only adding to our ostracism. we are real people and the real world and we need to talk to each other. Nothing feels better than playing soccer like your 4 again as an adult. Also its sexy.
