ive been using it for over a year now and I love it! you just check in everywhere you go and you can add a photo or caption to your checkin. It creates a timeline of everywhere youā€™ve been and you can see a map of every place youā€™ve been to as well. Itā€™s really old and not that well maintained, but itā€™s one of my favorite things on my phone. And itā€™s not addictive because thereā€™s nothing to really look at! Itā€™s also useful when people ask for recs for places to go in a city or region since you can just open a map of that location and see where youā€™ve been and what youā€™ve liked. Itā€™s more fun if you have other people who use it regularly, but also nice if you just use it on your own!

is recommending a recommending platform on a recommending platform silly? maybe, but i will not stop going on about this app omg. essentially you follow curators and friends who log their favourite bars, restaurants, shops, hotels, galleries, anything, all over the world. i love city breaks and iā€™m so much more excited to go somewhere when iā€™ve saved all kinds of stuff on the map. lots of my all time favourite places i would never have found if not for this. add me if you download it! @arrowsmith

other than PI.FYI (and letterboxd) of courseā€¦ how we feel as someone who isn't the best at using words to express her feelings to someone verbally, i really enjoy using this app to log my emotions and subtly sharing it to the two people in my friends list collective intended to be a safe space for the lgbtq+ community, itā€™s not just a social media app. thereā€™s no need to maintain a following or aesthetic, and itā€™s place to share your life with the intentions of making connections paired i havenā€™t used many couples apps, but i love how interactive this one is. everyday, you either answer a question or take a quiz with your partner and as scary as it can be being honest with some really personal questions, itā€™s fun learning about one another. it also keeps a streak as an incentive to do it daily, which i appreciate with my goldfish memory lapse its literally a film camera on your phone and you get to wait for your photos to develop. i love an affordable film photography simulator

the best website / app for travel-planning and itineraries! i use the free version but would consider using paid if i traveled for fun more frequently. you can use as many or as few of the features youā€™d like, so itā€™s great for both rigid planners and people who just want a general idea of what they want to do each day features i love: web and mobile versions; can add all different ideas of places to a ā€œplaces to visitā€ list then divvy them up by day; upload plane/train tix and hotel reservations; gives ā€œrecommended placesā€ based on what youā€™ve saved each day; visual map of your routes (color-coded by day); estimates for driving, transit or walking times btwn each stop; hours/websites are uploaded for most places; allows adding times and cost per place example shown is my itinerary for the day i went to auvers-sur-oise last year :)

if you buy some superglue and a pack of (strong) magnets you can make almost anything of a certain size into a magnet for your fridge! I donā€™t really like pins because idk what to do with them and have discovered just gluing a magnet to the back of them and putting them on my fridge! I had this epiphany while making clay magnetsā€”an idea my friend had for a party at her house.
