nothing quite like this card game, popular in the Midwest. Once you learn it, you feel like you’re a part of a secret club, but it’s also really fun.

This is a card game but technically also a board game. I grew up playing with my family so it is possible I think it’s tons of fun just due to all the great memories attached (but that is the case for almost all games). It’s fun to learn and get good at

It's euchre, but with more drinking. Easily the greatest card game ever made, plus you're going to forget what the bowers every couple of hands. If you've never heard of euchre, go look it up: it's a fairly straightforward card game for four people that involves just enough strategy that you can go full tryhard or become an agent of chaos and have a decent shot at winning either way. I've heard that some people have a variant of this game called "shnarps" that involves gambling but trust me you don't need money on the line to get competitive; one time my mother called me a son of a bitch just because I won a hand

Used to have a solid crew to play poker and euchre. Nothing like hanging with your pal and chatting over cards.

It’ a beautiful and heart breaking memoir that changed the way I view the world. The perspective this book gave me is incredible, and taught me so much about how to be grateful, and how to live happily in the moment despite the darkness that often surrounds us.

obviously love the book, but the old covers that reference the movies, that are also getting old, make for double the nostalgia.
