This is a rose soy candle that I bought in France. It’s pink and it’s small. Every time I burn it, I use those moments to mourn something until the wax has melted evenly.
When my cat died, I lit it for about seven minutes and used that moment to let him pass. But even on New Years Eve a few years back, it felt right to let go of the year that way.
While the flame and the melting wax helps me let go, using the candle’s pretty metal and ceramic cup will help me keep everything I’ve mourned alive. Because the candle is so small, each time I burn it it‘s very special.
