this isn't that weird but it is not something i would've thought to combine. thin sliced granny smith apples and cheddar is my favorite way to do it, but it works with really any type of cheese or apples. so yummy, it tastes like a warm, melty charcuterie board.

1 onion, 3 sweet potatoes, 1/2 apple, 3 garlic cloves sautéed. 1 tbsp cayenne salt and pepper to taste. 3 cups bone broth and simmer until soft, blend. 1 cup half and half or coconut milk. simmer. topped with dried basil + cream here.
