Six deaths of the saint by Alix E Harrow-Really short, awesome storytelling and characters. Open water by Caleb A Nelson- beautiful prose and writing flow is seamless, best love story I ever read. Piranesi by Susanna Clarke- Main character is reminiscent of Aang trom Avatar the last airbender lol, his optimism and joyous perspective made me so happy. Would suggest to not read the synopsis and go in blind.

If we were villains: it’s one of my new favs by ML Rios! It’s about a group of Shakespeare scholars that go to school in this prestigious university in BFE. They are doing a production of a play when someone turns up dead with no suspect. It’s super thrilling and an amazing use of shakespeare’s text to tie the story together. 100% recommend if ur into horror/murder mystery! Crowns of Nyaxia: This is a series by carissa broadbent that (currently) spans 2 main books as well as a couple spinoff books. The two main books are some of my faves in the fantasy genre. it’s hunger games with vampires! there’s amazing fight scenes, gore, poetry, and a little smut if you’re into that. I read both of these books this summer and this is the first time that i’ve read a spinoff in a series bc i loved the characters that much. enjoy expanding your horizons!!!!!

Fates & Furies - Lauren Groff, liked this a lot The Fourth Wing series - fantasy has made it possible for me to get back to reading in the way that I used to when I was a kid. Just absolutely mainlining books. And it kinda makes me feel like a kid, too! But this series is FOR SURE not for children lol 👀 The Southern Reach trilogy - now a quartet! Next on my TBR is the new installment, Absolution. Really hoping for some answers but sheeesh this series is mysterious and gorgeous. Super weird science fiction. Birnam Wood - I attempted to start this and didn’t like the first couple chapters. Has anyone read and can you tell me if it’s worth it? Song of Achilles and Circe - stunning, gorgeous, obsessed, loved. I think I preferred Circe but SoA really had me sobbing lol. The Shadow of What Was Lost - book 1 in a trilogy by James Islington. Picked it up because I loved The Will of the Many and the second isn’t out yet. I’d say not even close to as good as TWOTM but still an entertaining read. Will likely pick up the second from the library soon.
