BIG yogurt renaissance to kickoff 2025. Iā€™m eating like three or four a day. yogurt can be controversial because many yogurts have tons of added sugar and very little protein. but I think thereā€™s a balance to be struck here. Iā€™ll eat high-protein low-sugar yogurts because theyā€™re scrumptious and good for you. but Iā€™ll also have a low-protein high-sugar yogurt almost as a dessert. a great sweet treat and for about a dollar a pop, very cost effective. my favorite ā€œdessert yogurtā€ is these Chobani Flips. part of the container is yogurt. the other part is a smaller container with toppings, that you ā€œflipā€ over into the yogurt!! hence the name. how wonderful. I enjoy the key lime pie one and the peanut butter cup one. for healthy yogurt, I eat oikos triple zero. I love yogurt. I hadnā€™t eaten it in a very long time but the past week has been a yogurt filled adventure. for some added wonder, consider reading the wikipedia page for ā€œyogurtā€ while you eat your treat!!!!

As a fellow yogurt enjoyer, nothing brings me more joy than dolloping a few scoops of vanilla bean Greek yogurt into a bowl and stirring in some mini m&ms. Tummy health AND a lil sugar to start the day? Sign me tf up.

itā€™s been about 4 months since i had something else for breakfast. i am NOT. a sweet breakfast girl but itā€™s interactive (sort of like opening a pistachio but less strenuous) and you have to be very mindful about dumping all the toppings into the yogurt section and then mixing appropriately. really effective way to start your day. you can do all of this while walking around your apartment basically. great crunch / soft ratio. honorable mention to strawberry cheesecake and lemon meringue pie (sā€™mores is also great)!

i am obsessed, utterly hyper-fixated. initially i thought this was a phase, but it's been three years and i don't see myself stopping my frequent yogurt consumption any time soon. i have achieved final boss levels of probiotics in my stomach with how much i consume on a daily basis and there's no going back.

Similar to the "random xD" bacon craze manufactured in the 2010s by Big Food, something very evil and nefarious is happening with the proliferation of Greek yogurt. It is so fucking gross, clearly inferior in every way to standard-issue classic yogurt. It's like styrofoam or astronaut food. Meanwhile regular yogurt is harder to find every day and its decadent yet low-calorie delights are being forgotten to time. GET UP!!

Substack that emails you the entirety of Bram Stokerā€™s Dracula in real time. since the novel is composed of diary entries, it sends you the diary entries day by day so you can read it on the same timeline in which it takes place. it started earlier this month but itā€™s not too late to catch up!! or you could wait until next may. classics can be intimidating but this gives you the opportunity to read it in daily segments in your email and follow along in an immersive way :)

lots of great recs here, but if you want horror that is more based in storytelling and has a bit more on its mind than just slashers or gore you should check out folk horror or older horror films from the 60s/70s. as others have recommended, The Wicker Man (1973) is a must. Rosemaryā€™s Baby (1968) is also a classic. The VVitch (2015) is also fantastic as an intro to more conceptual horror. you said you wanted deeper cuts, so check out Viy (1967) or Alucarda (1977), both of which iā€™ve posted more detailed recs for on my profile. also!!!! i donā€™t know how you feel about silent/b&w films but Nosferatu (1922) is an all-time genre mainstay that still holds up. Ari Asterā€™s work is great but itā€™s probably more gruesome than youā€™re looking for. have fun!!!
