last year i had wanted to do more side quests in my life (doing things that don't necessarily relate to who i am as a person but something cool i would like to add for the plot) but i didnt actually do anything. this year im trying to do it more seriously so im getting my boating license. do i have a boat? no. will i ever use the license? probably not. but is it a cool random thing to have? sure. do the side quest. do it for the plot.

I went through life never having a hobby but I found one last year, and it’s going on Speedboats. They are fun, fast and ridiculous.

Began watching 'Wildfire' as a past horse girl (side note: it's a great show- drama and music wise... includes early performances of James Blunt, Katy Perry and many more). Adore horses and riding but lived in London all my life and hence riding being wildly expensive was never a passion I could pursue as I wished to. And I suppose over time it became cemented as something I COULDN'T do. But fear not, as an adult, my income is for me to spend as I choose (thankfully, I have no dependents), hence am going to take up horseriding again on my own terms. And I hope it'll make me happy. SO really, I suppose this rec is just to say to anyone who couldn't afford a hobby once, that doesn't mean you can't now or won't in the future. Buy that easel, get some good paints, buy that piano (second hand, we haven't won the lottery... yet.), take music lessons, try a new sport, take that cookery course.. the opportunities and possibilities are endless. Hmm. Perhaps not yachting...

I dont really know how to use this but i wanted to make my first post. this year i kind of want to focus on feeling more confident in myself and ive realized it comes down to taking care of myself more and doing things out of my comfort zone (hence deciding to get this account and make a post despite being confused🤭) anyways... life has been crazy recently so i guess ill use this to also post my emotions.

Y'ALL Seriously what is in the air? Maybe it is just me but these past few weeks (this week specifically) I have been in such a rut and literally cannot drag myself out of it. Literally feeling like I'm going through the motions of my day. Is it just me? Is it the weather? Honestly I feel like before holiday break I was getting a routine and feeling good but January so far has had me dragging my feet. Internally i feel all jumbled up mentally and emotionally (and lowkey physically too). Its not unusual for me to get wintertime blues but this time just really takes 1st place. Anyone else going through this? If you are, we got this. Onward we go :) <3

I was an avid veggie hater for the longest time. I have a big problem with food texture and often times vegetables dont do it for me and the color freaks me out sometimes. I moved to France a bit ago and the family i live with are veggie lovers (im talking veggie garden and everything). thus, i have had to begin eating vegetables. HOWEVER... I am finding out I actually like them! I also found out I apparently make good green beans?! This may seem super childish to some but I am really proud of how far I have come with eating vegetables. giving myself a pat on the back. Here are some veggies I have begun to eat with todays addition being parsnip (i added a pic of parsnip bc it kind of scared me when i looked at it)! -green beans -zucchini -cooked carrots -cooked spinach -tomatoes (ik its not a veggie but its often lumped in as one) -more random leafy veggies -parsnip next on the list? broccoli ?
