Beauty is all around us
This past year I have become obsessed with all that our hands do. hands help, build, create, love, share. There is so much beauty in our day to day lives you just have to look for it. This is one of my favorite hand pictures I took this year. my coworker is opening a pomegranate to share with our class. I love how her hands are making a heart while she is separating the seeds.

tired and sexy hands
scarred, wrinkly, with hyperpigmentation. i love doing things with my hands. on a side note, may i just say hm i love layering nail polish because it creates textures from the stuff it touches and i can pick it and still look cool.

your hands are your heart
my yoga teacher taught me that in TCM, the pericardium meridian line starts at your heart and extends through your hands. so everything you do with your hands, really is an extension of your heart. i like to remember this because i am constantly trying to imbue meaning onto things, to a fault

Take your time with school
Took me 8 years and 4 schools to finish my degree, but when I finished it was because I wanted to. There is so much pressure to live life a certain way but it is ok to do things at your own pace in your own way. Life is not a checklist. I am so proud to have finished school because I did it in the most fulfilling way for me.
