when it comes to cinematic education … I run this shit in my house (me and my two best friends) we enjoy a movie marathon or two, and we love a theme We’re pretty committed to a religious rewatch of twilight 1-4 times a year depending on weather, whimsy & vibes We love a classic 90s-00s marathon including hits like (bring it on, clueless, etc) We specifically have taken on certain marathons like all of the bring it in movies ever made the fast and furious franchise Every step up movie ever made You get it We’re cinephiles And we like to rewatch things we love so for however long it takes - we’re currently embarking on the horse girl movie marathon of my dreams. If you get it, you get it, and if you don’t, you should watch them. I’ll share our horseshoe ratings once we get all the way through. So far we have only watched spirit and flicka. so hold your horses & stay tuned

I’m usually a tv girl. I always binge watch series for hours sitting in my room, and I also have a strange habit of bailing on a show a few episodes before the series finale lol. Idk what that’s all about. Literally watched Ozark NONSTOP for days and then got to season 4 episode 2, and was like….suddenly i’m out. Currently working on bailing on Gilmore Girls because every character is in desperate need of a vow of silence. BUT recently I’ve been movie marathoning. Watching, like..three movies in a row. This seems super boring and normal, but it is like an exercise in paying fucking attention to one thing at a time, which I struggle with lol. Recently, my manager and I were upstate sitting by a fireplace and we watched Autumn Sonata, followed by the Blair Witch Project, and ended the day with Eyes Wide Shut. I’d never seen Eyes Wide Shut, it’s cuteness overload. Boobies galore. Autumn Sonata had me weeping - went into it thinking it was just a cozy fall movie about two girls who do nothing (my favorite genre) lmao. But yeah, having a movie marathon day instead of a watching tv while looking at your phone moment, is a lot more fun imo.

okayyyy so we all live laugh and love movies here, don’t we? YESS, great. i think that, although they can sometimes be weird and uncomfortable and, at times, really really boring, it’s kinda nourishing, for lack of better term, to watch old movies! i feel like a lot of the media that’s being made today, or atleast the most widely advertised media, is really not done with the intention of making something new and better than what came before. I partake in social media and all that jazz, and sometimes there are really great things made by people today, even if they require a bit more looking for, but the feeling of watching a good OLD movie is simply unbeatable. if u wanna movie rec, ASK cause I’ve got plentyyyy 💅

a few years ago I started a weekly tunes series on my instagram stories, asking what my friends' favorite songs were for the week I would then post and share their songs, tag them in the post and I turned it into a fun little weekly thing with memes, jokes, etc., and I put all the songs into a playlist and share that It was a selfish game on my part because I wanted to expand the music I was listening to, but I think it was fun for people too, because they got to be a part of something fun and whimsical while also getting credit for liking who they like it was a win win I restarted it a few weeks ago and I am really looking forward to this week's I will end up linking the playlists here eventually when I wanna go thru and copy and paste all the links to my Spotify
