a few years ago I started a weekly tunes series on my instagram stories, asking what my friends' favorite songs were for the week
I would then post and share their songs, tag them in the post and I turned it into a fun little weekly thing with memes, jokes, etc., and I put all the songs into a playlist and share that
It was a selfish game on my part because I wanted to expand the music I was listening to, but I think it was fun for people too, because they got to be a part of something fun and whimsical while also getting credit for liking who they like
it was a win win
I restarted it a few weeks ago and I am really looking forward to this week's
I will end up linking the playlists here eventually when I wanna go thru and copy and paste all the links to my Spotify

during college I was a dj on my schoolās radio station and I had the best time making weekly playlists for my shift. It was really special bc sometimes people would call in and compliment the songs or make requests. Very pure thing.

i started in 2018, but every year i make a playlist a month and any new song i like (or rediscover after forgetting) i add to the monthās playlist
as someone who loses track of time and canāt keep track of what happened in what year because it all blends for me, itās a little funny looking back at what music i was listening to during certain events of my life, like breakups and how people i met influenced my music taste. i.e. march of 2018 when i got into lofi and i met a community of small artists who have grown since then or july of 2021 when i got into hyperpop after meeting an ex-roommate. i wish i started this earlier like in june 2015 when i got into kpop
everyone i know puts every song they like into one playlist, or their āliked songsā but i love having my songs organized into playlists and folders and one of my favorite things to do is find a theme for the playlist covers :p

I make a playlist for every month and add whatever I find to it. Been doing this since 2021 and now have loads of fun playlists which are a mix of genres which I can go back to.
Itās also an archive of the change in my music taste as time goes on. I love it. You should do it too.
Also youāll sometimes find a song and you donāt know what playlist to put it in, so this deals with that as well

when it comes to cinematic education ā¦ I run this shit
in my house (me and my two best friends) we enjoy a movie marathon or two, and we love a theme
Weāre pretty committed to a religious rewatch of twilight 1-4 times a year depending on weather, whimsy & vibes
We love a classic 90s-00s marathon including hits like (bring it on, clueless, etc)

And we like to rewatch things we love
so for however long it takes - weāre currently embarking on the horse girl movie marathon of my dreams. If you get it, you get it, and if you donāt, you should watch them. Iāll share our horseshoe ratings once we get all the way through.
