I’m a typical mean, but safe, LA driver so will spend my whole drive angry at slow/bad drivers if i dont have a good music vibe going on. As such, when i drive alone, i usually spend 5 minutes before driving, deciding what i can sing or listen to so that I can have the patience needed to not yell at ppl. Today it was Not Like Us (kendrick), last week it was pink pony club (chappell). Will probably spend my whole work day thinking about or might borrow some of yall recs to get me through the drive home.
My favorite is when i pick just enough songs so that when the last song finishes, i turn off the car

In 2011 I was in a cab coming back to Brooklyn after a night out, Torn by Natalie Imbruglia was on the radio. It was one of those moments where you look out the window, see the city, and think, "Damn" I love it here. Regardless, the lyrics kicked in. From the backseat, I said "I love this song." The driver did too. He turned it up. We sang. He turned it up even louder. We sang even louder. If the vibe strikes, full send.

I wish I could speak every language to converse with everyone around the world! There’s something tantalizing about having this ability. Perhaps because deep conversations are a doorway into someone‘s upbringing and people’s cultures, and there is so much joy in hearing someone‘s story. In another lifetime, surely I was a polyglot enjoying company from people all around the world!

So I saw a group of friends doing some group evaluations on Hinge and let me tell you, I was envious and glad I’m not on any. can they work? Surely. is it fun? Yes and no? Told myself the last time I was on it that it would be my last time, and the last last time I told myself that would be the last time.. so clearly, it’s time for the last time again! (again?)
