had at least 3 birthdays here when I was a kid. it was a massive subterranean mars-themed restaurant with an elevator that looked and felt like a rocket ship (even though it only actually went 2 floors down). pretty sure they turned it it into din tai fung.

I think about this line from virgil abloh's lecture at columbia's architecture school all the time, which is about the Yeezus album cover. a testament to how, when you put in enough hours, sometimes you create work that transcends your current capabilities - even if just by chance.
