I’ve also been looking at a lot of new music and this is my favorite of the stuff I’ve gathered. You could also try You Know I’m Down by Frog.

Leith Ross is a great one- such sweet songs, like you (on my arm), and we’ll never have sex! so good!! a classic- like real people do, by hozier! amoeba is one of my fav clairo songs, her production is light and jazzy and definitely up that happy but gentle alley. For a speed round: -la lune by billie martin -more like you by orla gartland -means something by lizzy mcalpine -i know you by faye webster -the bug collector by hathey hendrix -teeth marks by S.G goodman -you, me, lonely by FIZZ -persimmon by the army, the navy -serotonin by angie mcmahon -real estate by adam melchor -some kind of control by ruby gill and i’m sure there’s more!i tried to stick with songs that felt happier/felt like a small animal would be happy to listen to (maybe not lyrically,, just vibes wise) let me know if you want more!! hope this helps a little p.s. i sooo recommend listening to more of all of these artists if you get the chance too- they’re some of my absolute favs ! :)

Lately, I find myself falling back into old music listening habits, with hints of new discoveries. Currently, Sade and lots of new-age jazz and other “cozy” (for lack of a better term) pieces to really get into the holiday spirit. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t detest the fact that for one month per year I cant go outside hearing All I Want For Christmas Is You, however it’s nice to put my own spin on the late-stage capitalist habitual behaviors every winter placed unwillingly onto the populous. To evade cynically ranting about how un-jolly I appear (although my mood and stability are more present than ever, so don’t fret), here are some of my favorites currently, in no particular order: - Kiss of Life — Sade - Eyes Without A Face — Billy Idol - Image — Magdalena Bay - Sensual — Piero Picconi - A Birds Last Look — Macabre Plaza (among other select songs from Out With The Old In With The Taboo) - deep in it — beriloz & Ted Jasper - Mexican Dream — Piero Picconi Above are some select songs from what I’m coming back to these days, I truly recommend Sade and her band’s music. It’s introspective, beautifully crafted and mastered, with a one-of-a-kind voice from the lead singer. Until next time, hux.

Tbh I’m coming out of a pretty depressing month, working a lot cuz im gonna be living alone for a bit—roomate who was the worst is finally leaving This is what kept me sane while working doubles and watching the world pass: Where I end and You Begin - Radiohead (miserable, love the part about watching but not taking part, the effects of burnout let alone its haunting promise of nature eventually taking its land back) 21 - Cranberries (I’m 21, learning that there will be lots I won’t get at least soon and that okay and I live in the context of all that which came before me) Biscuit Town, Dumsurfer, It’s All Soup Now, Seaforth - King Krule (He’s hot, miserable stuff, very hopeless but its the company that makes it easier) The Flag is Raised - Bladee, Ecco2k (Mf drain gang, very cerebral, spunky) The Most Wanted Person - 100 gecs (Huge gecs fan they are always on rotation for me, currently over here checking all the windows and blinds) Persephone - Cocteau Twins (been listening to them a lot recently, love the witchy vengeful sound of it) One of These Days - Bedouine (love her, its the little bit of hope we have to cling to right?)

I definitely towards the inward-turning-observer side, but I’ve found those observations never amount to anything if you don’t put them to use. You can gain all this understanding and certainty within yourself but if it’s limited to your own inner world that’s more or less within your control, then you’ll be stuck learning the same things over and over. Without action, a thought is just a thought.
