Making ceramics or pottery has been so fun. NO screen time! Your fingers are dirty!! The texture is so fun and changes as the clay dries. You get to paint with underglaze and then there is also the weird science of glaze?! so cool. So fun. Then at the end you have something useful. I want new salt and pepper shakers so I’m going to try to make them!!
It can definitely be expensive, but there is air dry clay too. Or, in west Philly there is a studio that has a sliding scale for payment that supports people who might need financial assistance, which I really love to see.

I teach pottery and tbh it doesn't pay well. I've noticed that upper middle class people come alot. I wish it were more accessible because it really helps you get out of your head.

I like working out and when I leave a workout class and I feel sore and then I take an epsom salt bath and I get in bed and my body just feels like YEAH you USED ME TODAY YAY. I love that.
