My catch-all term for doing karaoke while completing chores/housework. Choose a backing track from karaokenerds.com, turn on your loudest speaker (it doesn't work with headphones,) and sing to your heart's content. Great for people who live alone, or happen to be alone for the weekend. If it's a task that requires more concentration, like chopping vegetables, make sure it's a song you know well enough that you don't need to look up at the screen every few seconds.

You don't have to wait all night for it to be your turn or rent a private room at a karaoke bar!! It's as simple as searching any song on youtube + lyrics. And they sell really awesome portable speaker and mic sets now but be careful on a school night because your neighbors may file a noise complaint and the cops may come but ultimately laugh at you and ask you to turn it down and then you will laugh but say "ACAB" as soon as you close the door and then turn it down because consideration for others is an important value!

I’m coming to terms with the fact that I may never get black out drunk at Upstairs Bar and sing Careless Whisper ever again. But if you’re fully vaccinated and know other fully vaccinated people, karaoke can still happen. A version of it, anyway. I had my first small session for a friends birthday the other night using Karafun videos on Youtube (search your song + karaoke) and some shitty but functional bluetooth microphone and it was honestly better than sex.
