i really really enjoyed The House That Jack Built, Lars Von Trier. if anyone reading this knows about lars von trier or has seen anything hes made knows that there is nothing light in this film. i watched it because it stars one of my favorite actors, matt dillon, but quickly discovered how disturbing this movie is. it was... amazing. like a trainwreck, i couldn't look away. however, i barely made it through, and i probably wont ever watch it again...

Joachim Trier's third "Oslo" film became renowned for a very good reason. Well, really many very good reasons. Perfect film for anyone going through a mid-20s crisis, Renate Reinsve's Julie is a wonderfully deep, nuanced, and relateable character who makes a lot of terrible decisions alongside a lot of wonderful ones. The film's cast is pretty stellar (standout being Anders Danielsen Lie) and its structure sucks you into all the petty or powerful dramas that happen in four years of life. Because a lot of the production is so naturalistic, the stylised elements hit even harder. It's a beautiful film.

i think it would be super super cool to be able to fly free and see everything from a higher pov. but then. i could not listen to music because they dont make headphones for birds. maybe the spirit of a bird will do i think i yearn for a freedom this society was not built for

ive been listening to more mellow music today, only because it helps me focus in school. it fades into the background when it needs to, but if ever i need to feel something as deeply as i can, its like metal and heat.

this class is my first class of the day and my longest. i have 35 minutes and i feel like ive been in here for hours. sometimes i get frustrated and complain about some rules the teacher has that i think are a bit excessive. but my peers take it too far and think i dont respect her but i do!! shes a very smart lady and polite as well. she has done this before, and she stops things before they get started. just because i wish i could drink my coffee in her class means that i hate everything she stands for and thinks she is a bad teacher.
