...right before I moved to Taiwan and had so many doubts about what I was doing with my life, as it is a complete shift for my artistic practice, though needed. During transit at Changi Airport's butterfly garden, a massive brown butterfly landed on my hand and refused to leave. I tried flapping my hand around but it came back again and again and again. Until I literally blew on it to move it to some more tasty pineapple slices... which was another struggle lol i was wheezing trying to get it off me without touching it. Lots more magical things happened after, but this was for me, my oh-it'll-be-ok sign from the universe. I keep the video to remind me of the weird magical logic of the world.

An owl visited me and a few weeks later my mom died. I wrote to her in my journal and a man approached me and offered to read me a Rumi poem about being at peace with death. I spoke to my therapist about trusting my gut and taking more chances, and a hawk landed right in front of me on the walk home. Look up moments that feel extraordinary. The universe is in constant communication with us if we listen to it.

Sometimes you try your best and everything seems to hit the fan no matter how much you try, so you take that raincheck and take yourself out for a day.

This is what I call it hahahah made by mums everywhere but the greased up version is sold along stalls in Mumbai. Two regular slices of white bread, buttered, and the middle filling is cream cheese with red onions, coriander/cilantro, tomatoes and some minced chillis. All veggies chopped mini cube size so they blend with the cheese. Toasted crispy.
