it feels a little controversial to share this rec on a platform that rides heavy on positivity and kindness (which Iā€™m in favor of) but letā€™s be honest being a hater is deeply satisfying and when harnessed accordingly can even be productive.Ā  being a hater ā€” when channeled accordingly ā€” can position you to use whatever gift or talent the universe (or god, or whatever higher power you believe in) placed upon you, and make a tangible thing out of it.Ā  if Kendrick Lamar has taught us anything itā€˜s that being a hater can get you so far youā€™ll end up winning Grammys for it. Sometimes, pettiness IS the way forward. stay consistent with it. Ten toes down.Ā  being a hater will have your enemies go into hiding while folk in Portugal or South Africa (which Iā€™ve witnessed in real time) are blasting and yelling in unison ā€˜ā€¦ A MINORā€™Ā  if thereā€™s one thing Iā€™ve learned from living in America is I need to be a hater to survive. Especially after this past month. We got a long 4 years ahead of us and weā€™re gonna need this idea of being a hater as part of our skillset to fuel us into taking action and shaking shit up. At the end of the day. Being a hater I believe is just as imperative as it is to being a lover. I think the real challenge is finding balance. ps. I just found out that ā€˜Not Like Usā€™ has exactly 101 beats per minute which makes the right tempo for hands only CPR. So there you have it. Being a hater can also save a life.

Too many people are like ā€œmake the best of itā€ or ā€œlook on the bright sideā€ Come on yall. Just hate. Itā€™s okay to say shit sucks, that itā€™s bad. Being fake about it and acting like everything is fine is not good

Itā€™s easy to just hate and equally easy to bail but if you force yourself to exert your haterism as momentum to hold yourself to a higher standard. why not challenge yourself to do it a little better every time you pick it up. even if youā€™re being a little spiteful or catty.

went to my roommates boyfriendā€˜s art show last minute and did not regret. Definitely didnā€™t know what I was getting myself into and despite my exhaustion peaking 15 min into our time at the gallery i very much enjoyed it. 100 artists had their artwork featured in various fridge doors. Very beautiful concept.

I know a book is good if Iā€™m tearing up. And this one did just that. Very sad. Very beautiful. Very heartbreaking. Written from the a journaling perspective of the main character whoā€™s mentally disabled and becomes the perfect candidate for a surgery that allows him to be a functioning member to society and experience life from a new perspective.

been unemployed for the last 7 months due to burnout and health issues and although I was financially prepared to be unemployed for 5mo. Iā€™ve spent the past 3mo aggressively job hunting and every interview Iā€™ve had (about 10-15 of them) have been depleting my self esteem. however. I have a renewed sense of hope and anticipation for the right opportunity to cross my path and todays pre-interview moment was spent affirming myself and taking a selfie to remind myself that ā€˜I am indeed that bitchā€˜ and anyone would be lucky to have me as their employee.
