One way to emphasize a word in English is to repeat it, like "I'm tired but I'm not tired tired". I'm not sure if they do this in other languages too but I've always found it amusing.
"In typography, rivers (or rivers of white) are gaps in typesetting which appear to run through a paragraph of text due to a coincidental alignment of spaces."
