This movie is so damn disturbing showing anything horrific onscreen. Just hearing the audio from the snuff films that the characters watches sends chills up my spine. Juliette Gariepy is amazing as Kelly-Anne. You can definitely feel that something is very wrong with her even when her motives are noble. If you love serial killer/true crime movies especially movies by David Fincher, you should watch Red Rooms.

This movie gave me chills and deeply unsettled me in ways I was not expecting!!! brilliant commentary on the nature of true crime content, with realistic depictions of technology… The lead is an incredibly fascinating and complex female character. highly recommend if you haven’t seen it…

the unflinching type of depravity you expect to see in 480p on effedupmovies.com, not in a chain theatre, yet made me want to be much kinder to myself
watch if you like: cronenberg, troma, having physical reactions to art, being a gorgeous woman in a tiny glittery dress
i also recommend fargeat’s other film revenge (2017) which is similarly gnarly.. one thing i love about her style is when her brain cooks up something uniquely gruesome she wants her audience to see every bit of it, not a single cut away in either movie

Typed "romance" into Max, and it recommended The Piano Teacher (Michael Haneke, 2001), so... I watched it.
No spoilers, but imagine my suprise when it turned out to be an erotic psychological drama about a sexually repressed piano teacher and her sadomasochistic relationship with her pupil (and her mother). It was unexpected, grotesque, and quite frankly, distressing.
There’s both an understanding and a deep ambivalence to the story and the main protagonist that kept pulling me back, even though I had to take a break and watch it over the course of two days. Anyway! It was definitely a gripping watch, and I appreciate any movie that compels me to feel so deeply—in any way, even if I’m writhing in my seat😅.

This movie might fit your fancy. It's about lonely dog living in 80s New York buying a robot companion. This movie goes really deep in to their relationship and it's beautiful. Warning: Bring a box of tissues because this film will tug on your heartstrings like no other.

I loved how easy and nice it was to make one. I loved how I can talk about stuff that I'm hyperfixated on in this handmade mini magazines. I hope this is not just some fleeting interest because I really want to improve on drawing and writing and I would love to make more of this.
