I love disturbing content. Horror movies, psychological thrillers, experimental shit. I am always looking for the next thing to keep me up at night, and very rarely do the suggestions I see online actually stir me beyond a few genuine chills, but climax made my stomach churn, and made me want to cry. Itā€™s one of those movies that I think is so well done, but I canā€™t reccomend it. You get what you sign up for.

I expected this to be graphic considering its subject matter but itā€™s a purely psychological thriller with a twisted bent. This movie gave me chills and deeply unsettled me in ways I was not expecting!!! brilliant commentary on the nature of true crime content, with realistic depictions of technologyā€¦ The lead is an incredibly fascinating and complex female character. highly recommend if you havenā€™t seen itā€¦

(No spoilers) I feel like I need to say that I was not prepared for this film. I saw the trailer and thought ā€˜hell yeah, looks coolā€™ - but I did not know the extents to where it would go. Deeply terrifying, had to watch fun little youtube videos so I could fall asleep. Having slept off the sheer fear though, I havenā€™t been able to stop thinking about this movie. Potentially changed the relationship I have with myself. See it in the cinema if you think you can hack it. However, I have realised that body horror is maybe not my thing lol

Have you ever dreamt of a better version of yourself? šŸ§ŖāœØ Coralie Fargeatā€™s ā€˜The Substanceā€™ was my most anticipated movie of the year. Itā€™s neon, horror, cerebral, has 80ā€™s vibes, and a synth driven soundtrack. Everything I could want in a movie. This movie eviscerated my brain in the best way possible. I left the theater wondering what in the world did I just experience, but knew I wanted more.Ā  The themes of this movie hit home for me as someone who deals with the pressure of unrealistic beauty standards. Demi Moore gave her all to this movie and her performance blew me away. Margaret Qualley stole the scene every time she was on screen. Dennis Quaid plays a great sleaze ball. The actors understood the assignment. That being said, if youā€™re not a body horror fan, this will be a tough watch. I was definitely squirming in my seat šŸ˜… It also ran a wee bit long for me but do I want to see this again in a packed theatre? Yes. The last movie that made me feel like this was Gaspar NoĆ©ā€™s Climax, and it does have a similar energy to it. Overall, this movie was pure madness but utter genius and I highly recommend you go into this movie with as little knowledge as possible.

Maybe this isnā€™t so much a fix for staff, but I feel like the reposting of things has gotten a bit lame. I donā€™t want the ā€œEveryoneā€ feed to be the same post 20 times with nothing added, especially when the thing being re-recā€™d isnā€™t even a real reccomendation in the first place. I like this app because it is different than Instagram and Twitter and tumblr and the like. I feel like people are trying to interact similarly to those other apps here. I feel like we are all drifting back into creating the same social media AGAIN. My vote would be to remove the feature entirely, but I see how it can be used thoughtfully
