Not super expensive in perspective but expensive for me. Absolutely needed those boots for living where I live when things thaw, and also working on a boat. Keep my feet up to my knees dry and keep my pants from getting hella muddy too. Absolutely wear the heck out of them

I've had a pair for years, and I use them all the time. Good for rain, winter beach walks, bringing out the compost, snow. There's a little rubber tab on the heel that even allowed me to put micro spikes on them for a winter hike - probably not what it's for, but it worked. They have higher cuts too if you're trudging through really deep stuff.
Also a huge fan of rain pants you can just throw on over your outfit for rainy bike commutes. No rec for a rain jacket though - I have never had one that didn't have the inner liner eventually peel off and become useless!

They are very cute and they also are the most high quality rain boots I've ever had. Very expensive by my standards, but the cost hurts a little less every time I wear them.

I generally donβt spend a lot of money on shoes. I wear checkered vans like 90% because they are easy to throw on. I generally wear them until they are falling apart. But the winters can get cold and snowy so I needed a beefy shoe that would last me for a while. This winter I finally purchased some heavy duty blundstone boots and they are so worth it.
I am going to wear them to the ground and I love that it will be years before I have to retire them

Find happiness in the little things. Bask in the sun rise, take a moment to people watch grocery shopping or a cafe. Go on drives to nowhere in particular with your favorite playlist blasting. Read plays to a stuff animal audience and really dramatize the characters.

We have one dying strip mall in this town and my friends and I just go there to wonder the few open stores left. We don't by anything we just peruse the places, make small talk with the shop keepers, sit and chat about the closed down shops on the benches.
I also frequent the antique stores, and just look at the history thats brought in. Sometimes the store keeper drops by while you look and offer facts on some of the items.
They get me out of the house and keep my mind off work and they're sometimes more accommodating than a coffee shop.
