i totally get this and i personally love all the flowers in the shops around valentineās day, also seeing people buying or making thoughtful gifts for their loved ones warms my heart; however i think my issue with it more lies in the way that people seem to put so much worth and importance into romantic relationships, i think iām explaining this poorly, but iāve definitely felt before, as a chronically single person, that my worth is lessened due to me not having a romantic partner.
these feelings, whilst maybe not understandable for others, are exacerbated on a day like today. so as much as i really am happy for all the lovely couples today a tiny part of me feels a bit left out?

choc_orange yes I totally know what you mean! I think itās unfair when people make it teams of single and taken people when it should just be an equal share of just enjoying the day for all itās merits of love and cuteness!!
