You know that one statistic that was going around a few years ago - the one about single women being the happiest demographic? As someone who’s technically always been single, I sort of lack a metric of comparison to make that deduction myself. I kind of feel like I’m just running through with my life. Not necessarily complaining though. Anyways, keep on loving you lovers xo

This is the first Valentine's Day I've been single in ~8 years or so. If you're feeling down or lonely on this 14th of February, do something nice for yourself: eat some chocolates, treat yourself to a solo dinner out, engage in your favorite hobbies, or even journal why you're so awesome. You are worthy! :)

Are people still weird about today if they’re single? I hope not; feels very 90s (in a bad way). I love my homies and I love being alive and I think it’s so cool we have a pink-and-red hued holiday in the dead of winter to feel all warm and fuzzy about. And let’s be honest: love is the best but couples are sooooo annoying.

Not sure if this is too niche, but the other day I met with my professor and we talked about how women tend to express themselves hesitantly, softly. Men tend to be assertive, often bordering on arrogant, when they write. I mean, that’s probably cause women - fem people - have traditionally been socialized in a certain passive manner. Makes me sad sometimes. But not always.

I'm thinking of getting a library card... they give cool keychain cards with flower patterns. My local library looks out over a river and it's made of red wood.
