I found my job from asking someone I know! I was unemployed for a little over a year. Looking for jobs is brutal. I got a few interviews through Indeed but my current job was one I got through going to my dentist and asking if they needed help. I’m wishing you luck in your search!
Going through people you know even just asking if they know anyone working in a restaurant who can check if their restaurant is hiring is really the best way. But for what it's worth I thought applying directly through companies would get me jobs the fastest but that didn't work for months until I caved and applied through Indeed and I did actually start getting responses at least and got my job pretty fast. It's a tutoring gig tho so it might be very different in the restaurant industry I'm not sure.
I got my job by like idk sending out I think 500+ applications but also in the end
I messaged every single person I could think of who might know someone or know someone who knows someone to just even get a tiny toe in the door and I think that helped
Like literally I had a friend who I thought knew someone who used to be at x magazine. I texted the friend and asked about it and if it seem d okay I’d ask them to put me in touch or some shit
Before that I got my job literally on Craigslist it seemed weird but I was sooooo desperate for a job and it ended up being legit tech job w health benefits and good pay So 🤷♀️
Also look for tips on résumés and online applications to try to increase your odds. It’s completely normal to have to send out hundreds of resumes in order to get your foot in the door!
I don’t even care, I should probably delete instagram anyway but honestly it’s where I hoard my junk drawer of photos. I’ve got an emotional attachment and a need for attention. Do I embarrass myself through posts, yes but I feel free in doing so.
