Put regular household vinegar in the fabric softener slot and watch your clothes come back to life!!
fabric softeners tend to leave a film on the fibre which also contributes to deterioration.. buuut, vinegar will act as a deep cleanser and leave your clothes actually clean and soft!
I came by it the hard way, but unfortunately it is superior to the dryer for just about all fabrics but towels. Use less energy, make your clothes last longer, plus your house smells like fresh laundry.
Fuck tide pods - I remember throwing like 4 of those into the washing machine at school and just hoping for the best… no. Persil is where it’s at. Incredible scent, epitome of “fresh” and “clean.” And your clothes come out wonderful!
