Ok so I’m dogshit at playing bass but it makes me feel like a toddler who’s recently discovered that piano keys make noise and I like having that sort of childish wonder abt making music again
im not very good at playing the drums but maybe like once every 3 months ill get behind a kit and surprise myself with not only how okay i am at it but how fun it is. a seriously fun instrument and its cool to hit things and you look cool doing it if thats important to you
I’ve had this orchid for years and after the initial flowers from the store died, she has never produced flowers. I’ve had several orchids in the past and they have never bloomed either. yesterday I noticed a little cluster of buds for the first time and today there is a new flower!!! Life is exciting.
went on a photo walk today and met some really lovely people. going to push myself to attend more lowkey events with like minded people because making new friends in adulthood, sadly, takes effort.
the internet use to be a place in your house that you got to visit for a couple of hours after school. this year, i've been treating social media like a place in my home that i visit from my computer. not something that i carry around all day and allow to pollute my real life. i know this is nothing new but highly recommend for anyone struggling with being chronically online and feeling the mental toll of it.
