Everyday i wear a ring that was my mum's, one that was my grandma's and one that belonged to the woman I am named after. People ask me why I wear them considering they are so precious. Why wouldn't I? Now, I carry with me the energies and love of 3 incredible women- how dare I even consider keeping them in a box?

I have two small, stackable silver rings with children’s names engraved on them. I got the first one right after I returned to work with my first. It was really hard leaving him, so I got it as a comfort for myself. Naturally, I got one when my second was born as well.
I didn’t realize how attached I was until I briefly lost them at work. I never take them off, but I did to help a kid and they fell out of my pocket. I was panicked even though they’re replaceable. They’re the only jewelry I wear 24/7 (aside from my daith). My wedding ring set is really important to me, duh, but my husband took a silversmithing class through the park district to make it and it’s just so perfectly me.
I also have a gift for finding 4 leaf clovers, so I keep those around. At this point I always have rocks and/or crystals on me. It’s fun grabbing a jacket or bag I haven’t used and finding what I’ve stashed 😂

- dainty gold chain necklace that belonged to my grandmother that she purchased during her last holiday before she passed away & green crystal chain that she had in her jewellery box
- dainty gold chain bracelet that is the same chain and origin as the necklace, paired with a gold bracelet made with tiny star charms that i bought at my first day of uni!
- dads watch that he bought on his first day of uni
- gold huggies in my first and second lobe piercings that have interchangeable charms (ruby hearts charms right now)

- pendant necklace I bought for my mum’s birthday (i got her a matching ring with the same symbol on it) the symbol on it represents the area my family is from in Canada
- my grandma’s watch - she died almost a decade ago now but I only found it recently, got the battery changed and plan on wearing it for the rest of my life hehe

Literally every meal is made better by the addition of an egg. Rice? Stir fry an egg in. Sandwich? Fried egg. Any breakfast food? Scramble one on the side. Life is better with eggs 🙏

Any reason to go to the pub really! But I love the camaraderie of all doing a quiz together:
- coming up with a silly team name
- being rowdy and bantering with the quizmaster
- that feeling when you got a question right that you weren't sure about
- always an excuse to get another pint
- when a round is announced and you know that someone on your team is about to nail it
- winning (naturally)
It's just extremely fun
