What they feel. How they communicate. You don’t need to be into plants to like this book. It’s simply letting you in in this other universe when humans are not the main character and it’s so beautiful and rewarding. Trees socialize, grow societies and children and take care of their neighbors and friends. And it’s not even a metaphor.

this book permanently changed the way i view the world. it’s a book that combines the indigenous viewpoint with a more scientific one as the author is a Potawatomi botanist. it is such a beautifully written and insightful book that i’m sure you’ll enjoy even if you aren’t into all that nature/biology stuff (although that would help). 100/10 would absolutely recommend

Absurd and beautiful. I book about life, it’s trials, and ultimate contentment in just tending your “garden”- taking care of what is around you.

I’m just pressing on icons randomly. Reminds me of the time I first got to use a computer, which looked the same too. I’m enjoying it. I like it better this way.

Stack up on: chickpeas, lentils and beans. With chickpeas you can do hummus, you can roast them and eat as a snack or serve as a side dish with anything. Lentils are great for a quick creamy soup (you only need a carrot and an onion extra) and it’s super mega tasty. Or you make a lentils hummus and use as a spread. also lentil bread is very good! These are cheap, high on protein and filling but also very delicious in my opinion.

Could you get a better edit? I’m reading it now in Italian, on my kindle, and i am impressed by her style. I’m happy she wrote so many stories. In my opinion she’s a great writer, unfortunately not very popular.
