Places with low light pollution // “bad” pics of the night sky

I’m dog sitting about 30min outside of town and i could see so many stars!!! Ps: bad is in quotes bc I’m still stunned that phone cameras can do this now

I can see the constellations late night at my mom’s house in upstate NY and it fills me with those feelings of hope and youthfulness that I’m hard pressed to find anywhere else.

I love looking up at the stars every night, and it's one of those things that actually feels worth the snapshot. It feels cozy to recognize planets and stars (and our faithful friend Orion). It really never gets old for me, and even though the images aren't remarkable, looking back at them transports me to moments of simple special presence with myself.

Taking time to stargaze

Usually it’s so worth it I can usually see a handful from my backyard but if you live in a city/larger town or something and can go out to an area with less light pollution (eg. Driving to a suburban/rural area or just going to a Park) I’d recommend it. When I spent some time at a college in a small city even then I could usually see a pretty good amount of stars
