I love looking up at the stars every night, and it's one of those things that actually feels worth the snapshot. It feels cozy to recognize planets and stars (and our faithful friend Orion). It really never gets old for me, and even though the images aren't remarkable, looking back at them transports me to moments of simple special presence with myself.

i’ve lived in the same neighborhood my whole life and we get little-to-no light pollution. i always loved coming home at night with my mom or grandparents and staring at the stars as one of them parked our car and unlocked our door. i noticed the stars again sometime last winter, and now i always take a beat to stop and look at them before i go inside 🫶🏾

i’ve always been kinda scared of it and i think the day i’m able to stargaze in complete peace is the day i fully understand myself. every time i look up at that big dark expanse dotted with stars and planets i struggle to conceptualize the vastness of the universe and find myself honing in more on my very presence on this planet. it’s not that i feel small, in fact, quite the opposite. looking at the night sky makes me very aware of my life and the rarity of it all

I've always liked moving for the novelty & the opportunity for self discovery & renewal (and because I like finite physical organizational tasks). Love to make a new house a home. Furthermore, tomorrow I am moving out of the house I've shared for ~5 years with my ex of ~8 years, & I cannot imagine how fresh life will feel 24 hours from now <3

Treating the night before any special day (definition loose) like a new year's eve. Nothing to me like finding alternative applications of time based traditions. Whatever perfect combination of meaningless and meaningful you want it to be.
