i have a small scar on my arm that i got from a broken wine glass after my friends and i had our first party at my old apartment. great food, amazing wine, a projector showing āvalerie and her week of wondersā on the wall, and people i love very much (including my dog). itās a nice memento :)
my friend also chipped my front tooth with a bottle of heineken when we were doing the viral tumblr lana del rey video games dance in 2013 but thatās a story for another time.

yuriko invited me to her going away party because I asked to try her ginger beer when she recād it a while back. the ginger beer apparently exploded before it could be served but I met some cool people, ate some nice cake, lost at chess, and had a good time. if socializing is your thing I recommend the experience, kinda fun to be the mysterious stranger at the function.

Last night went exactly as planned. About 70-80ish people in one space together, dancing enjoying the sounds from the Djās and each others company. Love was in the air.
Ethan and I spun our best set yet (I think) and we even paused at 12:00am to wish Adam a Happy birthday - he was anxious about the attention at first but he quickly overcame and began to smile as we all sang to him.
We made our way to Winnieās around 2:15 and did exactly as I said - Stella Artois, vodka cran and I think someon had a modelo(?) we sang Take it or Leave it by the strokes and closed the night out with Radioheads Creep (duh!)

i decided to spend my birthday last year in patagonia because i wanted to go on an adventure and see beautiful things. the initial plan was to go to antarctica but that didnāt work out so i decided to go to as close to the end of the world as i could. itās really one of those trips that make you believe in the glorious mysteries of life. exploring the wilderness while listening to black marbleās āitās immaterialā was wonderful.

this ethiopian nun composed some beautiful songs that perfectly encapsulate the state of always yearning for something. itāa the perfect music to listen to on a plane while playing zelda. my favs are probably āballad of the spiritsā and āmotherās loveā.
