Mononoke (2007) is my favourite anime of all time, and this movie is a 15th anniversary project that is the first in a trilogy (next one will be released this year I believe).
If you enjoy the movie, I highly recommend going back to watch the original series! Or watch the series first, it's separated into mini-arcs so it's basically like 5 movies.
i highly recommend the works of Masaaki Yuasa. specifically: The Night Is Short Walk On Girl, Mind Game, and Inu-Oh.
super unique, whimsy animation style. always something fresh and unlike anything you’ve seen before. cute slice of life stories with really creative ideas to take them to the next level.
love ya!
Mind-boggling animation that is half horror, half adorable Nana-esque protagonists in which the girls are in love with each other but don’t admit it. Insanely intense visuals - check this out if you’re looking for vibrant colors !
I have A LOT of animes to recommend but if you are looking for something like that I’d go for Sakura Cardcaptor (it’s from years ago but one of my favorites) cause it’s cute and has magic involved etcccc and you can try Fruits Basket too!
I’d like to recommend Horimiya too cause it’s a super cute series (but no magic involved). It’s high school love themed! 💫
AND for movies please please watch Your name or Suzume!!! 🙂↕️
Not to be basic, but our Chinese household somehow had the DVD (definitely not official) all throughout my childhood and I never dared to play it until I was 12 because the pigs unnerved me so much. Thank god I held off until then - it changed 12 year old Amy's life.
Sometimes I need to hear it to remember that I'm happy, but no one is telling it to me but myself.
Instead of saying that something is delicious, or pretty, or great, or exciting, just say - "Wow, this makes me so happy!"
