As someone from a horse family. I agree itâs pretty fucking crazy. Itâs especially nuts because once you spend enough time around a horse you realize that theyâre just big dogs (they follow you around, roll in the dirt), but theyâre like, big dogs that we ride. Very bizarre.
I always wonder what it was like between the interaction between the first human and first horse to be ridden. The first human is like, âwaitâŠwhat if IâŠjust sit on him until he movesâ and then the horse is like âwhat are you even doing right now, this is absolutely nutsâ and then 1,000 years later we just ride on them for fun, sometimes even at birthday parties
Literally saw a guy riding a horse down the street in the cotswols yesterday and had basically this thought
have you ever ridden a horse bc after doing it a few times i was like oh theyâre seriously just letting us ride and steer them. not that i thought that it was super simple beforehand but it is more of a trust exercise than i thought
