Not to get too poetic on Main, but we're all so used to the idea of our breath fogging up as we walk in the cold. Sometimes you have to turn around as you're walking and watch the remainder of your breath disappear into the air. Best recommended for the drunk walk home from the pub.

especially if it’s one of those cloudless, sunny winter days. even if it’s colder out don’t let it stop you, layer up and find some nice park or pretty street to walk down. emphasis on layer up though, once you get walking and warm up you can shed a layer but if having cold hands will turn you back make sure you’re as cozy as possible going into it. I find it helps your mind to be idle and grounds you in the world for a bit. you don’t really even need a destination in mind, maybe you’ll just find a part of your city you didn’t know or take in a nice view, maybe you’ll even bump into a friend. put on some good music or just take in the sounds around you. I did this pretty regularly around brooklyn during the pandemic and along with being some good excercise it really does plug you in to your surroundings more

A slow walk as the days comes to a close is the perfect cleanse of the mind before turning in for the night. There is something about the fresh air, the smell of pine needles, and the stillness that catches my attention and keeps me distracted.

Feels a bit redundant to recommend one of the most popular movies of all time, but for me this one had kind of stayed in the category "I'm sure it's good, I'll get to it some day". A friend put it on and I absolutely adored it – it wasn't just a great, scary horror movie – it covered a breadth of genres, was written really well, had great acting, and looked just wonderful.

Find a bunch of cool Public Domain or Creative Commons images (I just click "Random File" on Wikimedia Commons) and turn them into something you think looks like an album cover. It's fun to come up with a name for the band / album and imagine what their stuff would sound like! Maybe don't do this, actually. It's kind of a massive waste of time. I find it fun, though! As a bonus you can then make a chart of them and send it to your friends saying they're your favourite new releases. Waste their time as well :)
