Guy 1: wore his long hair in a braid one day, danced just while goofing off and he somehow made it look super attractive (reader: he can barely dance), posted a photo of himself āsnowboardingā down a volcano during winter break, recruited me for his short film project that involved several takes at the end of my character hugging his character š (weāre married now)
Guy 2: wore a suit to a wedding (this man normally wore cargo shorts and tshirts heād probably owned for a decade, which thereās nothing wrong with it was just a particularly stark difference lol)
Guy 3: merely made silent eye contact a few moments longer than usual while smiling š«
Girl 1: longtime friend but hadnāt seen her face in a while due to long distance and her rarely posting pictures of herself anywhereāshe sent me some selfies and i was dazzled āØ
Girl 2: already thought she was beautiful and interesting but had a real āoh noā moment when her eyes lit up as she spoke passionately about her favorite Victorian novel (also when she recalledĀ exactly where an obscure quote from an academic journal had come from, inCLUDING the year of publication š¤Æ)

I was at the bar and my friend was telling me about this girl that her friend had a crush on and the description sounded vaguely familiar so I asked them to show me her Instagram and she pulled it up and put it on the table. I scrolled through to find a good picture and said āyes I do know her sheās-ā¦right thereā and I looked up and she was running towards me and I screamed her name and we hugged and made a huge scene. Definitely not slick wingman wise but I couldnāt help it because of how much of a coincidence it was.
This girl was constantly on tour up and down the east coast and never in town really so we barely saw each other but always had a good time whenever we did. It was so random and felt cosmic. I introduced her to my friends and she hung out for a bit. Someoneās far away, āunattainableā Instagram crush popping up at the table, as soon shes brought up. It was so cool, Iāll never forget it.

I snatched a pair of my moms Dansko clogs out of her closet over winter break and theyāre the best thing ever. I can slip them on to go to work, class, on a walkā¦ I LOVE THEM. Itās also so snowy and slushy here and I canāt deal with wet socks, but thankfully my clogs are both platform and waterproof š seriously the best things ever. Iām wearing them with sweatpants in class right now actually. Bring āem back!!
