Give your beauty to the people who can stare back in real-time and give you theirs. I rarely think I look like myself in pictures and thatâs because I look like me outside where my expressions harmonize with the sunlight.
This portrait of Dorothy Beridge, (by Joseph Wright of Derby) is on display in MIA and they actually have a plaque describing her as having plain features, which is the worst insult of the 18th century. Sheâs trapped in a museum where the professionals call her uggo. I want to meet her in person where those features are meant to be seen. But, she gave that to her friends and family, not the strangers passing her by on their way to the elevators.
