There are so many songs that are important to me, but this song has been around for my entire life. It’s sad, it’s happy, it’s always the right song to listen to. My mom absolutely loves the Jackson 5, so naturally this song would be playing in the car CONSTANTLY growing up. This song has always been there for me, no matter who I’m with, if I’m alone, and it’s also been featured in a video project of mine that I was really passionate about.

a technical non-answer, as i’m not sure if it’s the BEST song ever, but moreso, likely my favorite. my dad used to make custom mixtapes on cds while i was growing up to play for different occasions. i had a ‘going to sleep’ mixtape, a ‘ride to the bus stop’ mixtape, a ’roadtrip’ mixtape, all of it. love her was on one of the tapes and i had liked the song a lot but it wasn’t one that i remembered and streamed in my teen years. but then, it randomly appeared on spotify radio. i heard it and started crying. it brought back so many good memories but also sounded like the first listen all over again. so i started playing it: over, and over, and over. and it still hasn’t gotten old. my top streamed song by a longshot

This is my favorite song in the world. I remember what I was doing when I first heard it. I was making necklaces in my basement and I think this was in the summer of 2021. Sometimes I feel like it hits too close to home because I never get over anything and I’m pretty sure I’ll be living in my parents house forever. Despite that unfortunate reality, this song has yet to lose its magic. This song will always be my favorite.

I‘ve been wanting to get more into hyperpop-y, experimental pop, psychedelic pop, and electronic-pop type music but I have no clue where to start, I’m willing to give anything a listen:) some artists i like that fit into those genres already: rebecca black, charli, mag bay, FKA twigs, she’s green, tanuki-chan, caroline loveglow, getting into imogen heap

For ridiculousness/comedy, I recommend Community, Always Sunny and Cobra Kai (cringe at many points but so worth it imo) I have also been getting into Succession! I havent finished it yet— I have also heard it gets pretty crazy, so fair warning for that for nostalgia, I always go back to Liv & Maddie or Henry Danger those shows are so incredibly cheesy it’s healing. ive seen them tens of times each I am also starting to watch Gilmore Girls with my s/o and its interesting so far:) this guy is my hero vvv

Have you heard of Preston? yes you have. Napoleon Dynamite was filmed there. I drive through Preston every time I go on a trip to a cabin further north in Idaho, and every time I do I think about what a silly town it is. Population: ~6,000 Everyone there drives a Ford truck because there’s a Ford dealership in the center of town. Love that place so much
