Snapped this one back when I was a snowboard instructor in 2021! In Steamboat, thereโs this run called Morningstar, which is infamous for the friendly bird population. Riders often pack french fries, granola, and other snacks to hold out on the lifts in hopes of getting a grazer to land in their hand.
So on our off day, my roommate, best friend and I all decided to park it for a cold snack and see if we could get luckyโ we did. Both Lindsay(seen below) and I got a bird to land in our hands (I have a video of my encounter!!) Our secret? Fruit loop rice crispies and daintily whispered sweet nothings.
