for those not in the know, the North Shore of Massachusetts has a huge Greek population (myself included) and a plethora of TownNameHere House of Pizza named sub shops/pizza places owned by them. you’ll find a regional (and polarizing) style of pizza that you won’t find anywhere else, the highly acclaimed Three Way Roast Beef Sandwich (which is God’s gift to us), and a bunch of Subs that can be served in a Pita with house dressing (very good) worth a trip north of boston? debatable. but if you're already here for some reason? absolutely

A must-try phenomenon specific to just the few towns on the southern New Hampshire Seacoast and into the north shore of Massachusetts. Thin-crust, square-cut, sweet-sauced goodness. I linked a good Eater article on its history - the only thing I disagree with them on is their categorization of it being “bad pizza.” Just be sure to get the “extra cheese” (a slice of provolone) and eat it hot! The main two spots are Tripoli and Cristy’s. My personal Rec: Cristaldi’s, a hardly-mentioned 3rd contender that only has one location affixed to the end of a firework shop in Seabrook, NH. They're only open in the summer, but the other two are great and open year-round.

There’s an Italian place (technically Greek, but that’s every Italian place outside of the North End) in Worcester that my family has been going to for as long as I can remember, and despite not being a vegetarian, I always get the veggie sub (with extra banana peppers). The rest of their food is probably medium shitty (in a good way!), but its full of nostalgia and unequivocally the best veggie sub I’ve ever had - an underrated sub sandwich

my #1 pizza right now (besides ellios frozen pepperoni) there are a few of them throughout the city but i go to the one in east harlem since that's closest to me. old school italian vibe, cash only. thin crust cooked to perfection, delicious sauce not too tangy or sweet, and tasty cheese that isn't gunky or goopy. the place is unpretentious, fairly priced and tastes better than the highly overrated Lucali. definitely would recommended.

tomorrow PI.FYI launches to the public this project is the result of thousands of hours spent coding everything from scratch after I got laid off six months ago no thiel-bucks or weirdo outsider money, just a pure desire to make something fun and true to Perfectly Imperfect’s day one goal of helping people find new things from real human beings, not algorithms or AI a pure labor of love that I’ve been quietly plotting for two years and it’s completely self-funded from my (rapidly) dwindling savings account so thank you for coming along for this weird ride đŸ«¶ let's see where it goes
