Rock is back. We all know he's the best but I went to his show last week after he dj'd my film's afterparty and I'm looking around and it was such a gratifying feeling to see kids are cool again. There was a while there I was starting to worry. Music's in a very good place with him at the forefront.

iām kinda out on big legacy shows (mostly because iām broke), but everyone should start seeing 90s bands that get back together. caught brainiac and lowercase on the same bill last weekend, and i wish more young people wouldāve been there. also, everyone asked about you is one of the best live acts iāve seen lately. i love when bands reunite ā¤ļø it feels like theyāre getting a new lease on life

not talking about the insane shit where people actually seem like they're trying to kill eachother/themselves. but i've been going to a lot of rock shows recently and let me tell u from now on i finna be in the pit. it is so freeing to be able to flail and throw yourself around without anyone batting an eye because they're doing it too. i'll take some hits and some bruises i do not mind. plus, in every experience i've had of this so far everyone has been so unbelievably kind, & sometimes people even apologise for bumping into you afterwards even though that's the point. great way to let your energy out and engage with the loud ass sounds you've come to enjoy. rock on, baby!

In the grim club loos, I met two much younger boys who asked if I was enjoying the show. I said it was my favourite DJ but I had no way of seeing him from the far back of the crowd (I am a small woman). Suddenly, each boy took me by one of my arms, flanked either side, and then forcefully parted the sea of 500 aggressive youths (Moses style) in order to get me to the front of my favourite DJās set. Once they had deposited me directly in front of the DJ, they disappeared anonymously and wordlessly back into the crowd.

Anyone who knows me knows there's always a green bottle somewhere in my vicinity. I've been drinking this water for over 15 years, before it was popular. When I was in Austin for a job I went to the deli and picked some up and as the gentleman was checkingĀ me out he says, "Elvis water, huh." I ask him, "What do you mean?" and he goes, "Elvis used to only drink Mountain Valley Water. It was like his thing."
