Formerly known as BAD RABBIT, SQÜRL is a musical trio that consists of filmmaker Jim Jarmusch, Carter Logan, and Shane Stoneback. Their sound is percussion-heavy, with detuned and droning guitars, loops, and cassette recorders drenched in feedback. Jarmusch initially started this project to use for the soundtracks of his films, but has since launched into a full on music career with SQÜRL. Their newest album ”Silver Haze” is dark and sexy, and features the likes of Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Marc Ribot, amongst others. I have it linked above.

So I was trying to figure out something I saw w my mom and my sister years ago by looking through old photos and I came across this photo that is of shinro ohtake’s scrapbook that i wrote my essay about in highsxhool in order to be able to take AP Art History It was probably the first time I was in a museum and consciously trying to pay attention to the art (the other time I can think of is wandering across a jacolby satterwhite video by accident while visiting family and going home and looking him up on tumblr lol) but I just now learned about his noise/“conceptual” band juke/19 ! check it out first LP in link “Juke/19 was a Japanese underground conceptual band, found in 1978 by an artist and painter Shinro Ohtake. An active phase of the project only lasted for about two years, with four LP albums released from December 1980 to September 1982”
