board game cafe in the village, pay by the hour / person - they have a *really* big collection of games, as well as drinks. also the chess forum, which is $5/hour and has a lot of really cool + beautiful chess sets to look at (and is a palestinian-owned business) also, coffee shops; caffe reggio in the village is ~100 years old and has great vibes (but not great coffee), think coffee has good vibes and great coffee

Harken café, charleston sc

This cafe is such a gem 🌟 The food is amazing (avocado toast n quiche r YUM!) & the vibes r immaculate !!!! it‘s decorated with so much greenery & trinkets; the baristas r so cool (read: gay), & the music playing sounded like it was straight from my own Spotify (i.e Faye Webster, Clairo, Leith Ross, etc) !!! This cafe is every sapphics dream 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱

1. hot people, communal tables, slightly distracting vibes 2. communal tables, no outlets :(, lots of people grinding 3. idk much, heard good things, big tables, front room and back room and backyard 4. this location has tables, the other doesn’t. no outlets, no WiFi, still a top pick. baristas all very friendly :) Honorable mention favs with a no laptop rule: Little Canal & Abraço

Talking about menstruation

after having an ovarian cyst for a while and finding out 4 months later that THATS why I was feeling deranged and horrible all the time I can’t get this thought (truth) out of my head — hormones are kind of everything! period cycles interest me so much now in a way they didn’t before bc I can clearly see the effects of them on our psyches/energy. for example I can always tell when a friend of mine is ovulating or PMSing. now I’m 24/7 yapping about menstruation/women’s health to all my friends.. or anyone who will listen really. mind-body connection fr fr OUT: thinking that asking about periods is rude; men Tiptoeing around the subject of periods; discounting what hormones do to our bodies and minds !!!!

being an event head

I liked finding out that this is a word/thing cuz I totally relate. I just love (going to or hosting) events (apartment housewarmings, dj sets, dinners, breakfasts, movie nights, whatever it may be..). if it's a thing that's happening and I'm with/inviting friends, it's An Event idc!
