it’s a study of childlike wonder, finding place/purpose, the conflict between stagnant society vs preservation, the importance of death and grief, ethics vs inner drives, and the dangers of obsession. and it’s beautiful. and it’s cozy.
highly highly recommend. the first time i watched it i was like cool this is fun. and then i just kept thinking about it and it kept popping into my mind.
fun and whimsical, but mature and thoughtful.
