Yeah I need to meditate, workout, and eat healthy to maintain my sanity, but why don’t I try a new guided meditation, a different type of workout, and a new dish?
sounds to me like you don’t really want a routine…maybe your challenge could be making your peace with that!?
if you do want to give it a try, try thinking of rituals instead of routines. pick something to make sacred through intention—bathing, having a cup of tea, a morning walk or meditation or prayer or smth. focus on discovering the magic that can be found within an everyday moment when we pay attention to it.
sounds dumb but going to the gym and meditating! it’s as simple as that! and being creative in any way i can, even if it’s just making a spotify playlist, cooking from my heart or editing photos for vsco
pro tip from the linked video is to create 3 different routines and follow them according to energy levels:
1. a minimum routine w the non negotiables (hygiene, hydrate, get some kind of meal etc etc)
2. a standard day routine that’s achievable most days (maybe you do the 15 min of yoga or your extended skincare routine and have a nice breakfast and tea on top of the minimum routine)
3. an ideal full routine when you have an abundance of time and or energy (go crazy do it all take a long walk and read for a while or create your art)
you can make these for morning or night or full day structure! but the point is to do what suits you to relieve the pressure of needing to stick to something that may not always fit into your realistic day. good luck soldier you got this
Money evaporates in my checking account. Sure, I could put it in a savings account and make 0.4% interest, but I'll end up transferring it back into my checking account anyway.
Put a quarter of that paycheck into an index fund like the Fidelity 500 Index Fund making an average of 14.68% interest on those hard earned dollars and you won't be tempted to transfer it out. You can finally save up for that SSENSE espresso machine you've always wanted.
