i know i sound like a freak, but if you alternative between hot and cold water in your morning shower, it shocks your brain and i swear on my life you will feel weirdly euphoric to start off your day. i know it’s insane i do not do this often at all but it absolutely works

Listen, I know, I know. this is a whole debate. But nothing will rejuvenate you like a cold shower. the trick is to ease into it, shower by shower.

When I was a kid I used to take cold showers all the time. I think it had something to do with coming home from the beach or playing outside in the sun all day that just made a cold shower that much more refreshing. As I’ve gotten older though, so has my shower preference and I now like the water borderline scorching hot.
But now I live in a 6 person house with 5 other girls and 2 bathrooms. The downstairs shower is the obvious favorite because it’s bigger, nicer, and gets much warmer. The upstairs shower is literally the size of a large box and it’s super hit or miss if you’re even going to get hot water. Recently the upstairs shower hasn’t even been getting warm, let alone hot, so everyone showers downstairs. Except me 😎 because these freezing cold showers were genuinely part of my daily routine as a kid.
Anywho, I basically get a shower all to myself and even though a cold shower sucks sometimes I’m pretty sure they’re better for you and I’m glad for them every once in a while.
