Thanks y’all for the fire tips - I had a blast. Just put everyone’s rec’s into a google maps collection so you can find them at the link📍 My addition is the Empire Garden Restaurant in Chinatown. Built into an old vaudeville theater, the food is solid but the atmosphere is absurd and a must see.

🍣Perry’s, AdMo: good sushi, cute rooftop $$ 🐯Tiger Fork, Shaw Blagden Alley: good drinks, upscale Hong Kong street food $$ 🥩Bar Spero, Penn Quarter/east end area: one of the best meals I’ve ever had, but definitely expensive. Seafood & grill food. Also was rated one of the top 5 new restaurants in the US last year $$$$ 🌻Gypsy Kitchen, 14th St: really good small shareable plates, nice rooftop/outdoor seating esp. during sunset, good drinks  $$$ ✨Dlena, mt Vernon: amazing margs (10/10) and food. Good outdoor seating and inside is fun.  $$ 🌍Maydan, FL Ave: so good. Went with banana Dans $$$ 🌵Vera, Ivy City (Mexican/Mediterranean fusion): SO good. Def upscale, went for kittys bday. Food was bomb and was served the largest gin drink in the world. Fills up fast, especially at night, and doesn’t take reservations but you can put your name on a waiting list. Right on 14th so you can hit Aslin or somewhere else while you wait.  🫒Green Zone (AdMo): one of my favorite bars in the city. Has awesome middle eastern music and small plates but fills up very fast. Indoor & outdoor seating, doesn’t take reservations so expect to stand somewhere upstairs unless you go early for a table.  💕Thip Khao (14th st): delicious Laotian food and really good portions. fair prices too

I don’t know if that technically still counts as touristy lol, but some of the food in San Francisco is just fantastic, especially Asian foods in the region. I highly recommend Palette Tea House if you enjoy Dim Sum (small plates of things like dumplings, noodles, etc. that you can order at will). Amazing service and food, also near the water and in Ghirardelli Square. I also enjoy Sutter Pub, really cute decor and restaurant front, great food, local beer. The Irish Bank is a really great tavern actually owned by an Irish man lol, great fish and chips. Posh Bagel and Home Coffee are right between the entrance to Chinatown and FiDi, my favorite morning spots when I’m in San Fran.

You trusted someone with your money or your heart or both, and then that person surprises you by fucking you over. fuck! This sucks a lot and might mess you up pretty bad and make you lose faith in people, but on the other side there is the potential for new found strength as you now have *experience*. Trusting people is such an essential thing, so after getting scammed when you eventually find ways to trust people again, you’ll do it with a better sense of who to give it to and how much to give and when. That’s a powerful thing, and not easy to understand until you’ve been burned. Keep trusting, keep getting burned, but hopefully a little less so each time.
