I made garlic knots for the first time on friday and they were so good and easy!! definitely becoming a new staple when i have friends over for an italian-american dinner. I used Brian Lagerstromā€™s recipe on youtube and i highly, highly recommend it!

It can be easy, cheap, and makes good leftovers. Sometimes I will just doctor up a jar-sauce and add fresh basil and parm and it is pretty good for the amount of effort. If I feel like I need more protein or veggies it is easy to add. I recently tried a recipe that has anchovies, green olives, garlic, capers, cherry tomatoes, and lots of olive oil. I liked it a lot, but realize it is not for everyone.

Not sure if this counts more as a concert film but itā€™s so frigging iconic: BIG SUIT!

Has *almost* never failed me and when it has the other person either is super boring or literally has NO interest in making any sort of effort so really itā€™s either a clutch game changer or a powerful sorting tool. win win!

Im gonna be vulnerable and share a story where I am the offender. I matched with a very cool and smart and pretty girl who recently moved to Vancouver from Toronto (sheā€™s now fairly big in the natural wine scene there HAHA but donā€™t want to doxx anyone just more a data point confirming the above). Aaaaaanyways I invited her to a very cool (long gone and now replaced with a shadow of its former self new pizza shop under new management) retro pizza shop and because I was so smitten proceeded to forget how to ā€œsit coolā€, how to make conversation, and EVEN how to eat pizza (omg this is so embarrassing). At the end of the date the server asked us if we wanted to pack up the rest of the pizza and I had picked up the check so she insisted I take it home but for some weird epigenetic mechanism around providing sustenance for the tribe reason I thought it would be ā€œimpressiveā€ to say no to half of a massive pizza pie even though it was CLEARLY the end of the date making pizza box transport logistics a non-issue. A humbling reminder that we can all be the weird one sometimes šŸ«
